Weekly Challange - Cinnamon

To keep us connected and busy during Covid-19 times JD is running a weekly food photo challange. Each week we choose ingredient and share the best capture result.

We also can share our best tips, story or science behind the ingredient to make a connection with real food and capturing interesting snaps. Did you know? Cinnamon inner layers of tree bark are dried in the sun and rolled by hand into long sticks? Cinnamon itself does not taste sweet, but rather enchances other ingreedients in bakes and savoury dishes.

Above picture was taken with - Nikon D7500 / 105mm Sigma Macro / ISO 80 / f7.1

Tripod, window light and white piece of paper is all you need. Since D7500 does not support in-body focus stacking like Nikon D850, do it manual way. To achive this depth of field technique I took around 10 pictures with minimum adjustment on focus ring. Is focus stacking cool or cheating? Use it to create macro images with superb depth of field.
